The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), is a national organization founded in the 1960’s to defend Latino legal and civil rights. MALDEF President, Thomas Saenz speak with host Cristina Baccin about some priorities in the defense of Latino civil rights, especially regarding the right to vote.

Mr. Saenz also talks about his deep concerns regarding other topics affecting New Mexicans, such as: wage theft by New Mexico’s Taxation & Revenue Department, the right to public education, and the federal immigration programs DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and DAPA (Deferred Action for Parental Accountability).
