SEE the 2014 AWARD HONOREES

The RAÍCES COLLECTIVE of KUNM 89.9 received the CREATIVE BRAVOS AWARD 2014. I felt honored to receive this award as part of the Collective. Being the Programming & Production Coordinator  (2012/2013), and ESPEJOS DE AZTLÁN Coordinator (2013-Present), I felt that this Award recognized an innovative, and creative approach to the Latino public affairs, and culture in the mass media.

“Founded in 1985, the Creative Bravos Awards are presented to individuals, organizations, events and/or businesses for outstanding achievements within and exceptional contributions made to any sector of the creative economy.  In particular, the recipients are recognized for their innovation, entrepreneurship and impact upon Greater Albuquerque.  Past honorees have encompassed a wide range of creatives — everything from a Neighborhood Architect/Planner to a Media Arts Charter School — making the Creative Bravos Awards an authentic celebration of creativity and innovation.”

“The Creative Bravos Awards recognize and honor achievements in creativity or innovation, entrepreneurship, and community impact by any individual, organization or event.
