La Última Gota / The Last Drop / L’ultima goccia

A drop of water for the living beings for whom water is a gem

(English) The Last Drop represents the instant when living beings are very thirsty to the point of death, and only a drop of water remains: the most valuable gem in the world. In the present and near future.

My painting imagines the final drop of pure, clean water that nourishes every living entity. Its precious nature reminds us that each of us can do our part to protect this scarce resource because every drop counts.

I participate with “The Last Drop” in another wonderful juried art show , “Mother Nature” organized by The Women’s Caucus for Art of Greater Washington, DC (WCADC) at the historic building Kentland´s Mansion Gallery (City of Gaithersburg, MD) with artwork focused on addressing climate change and celebrating nature. Thank you to the juror, photographer and environmentalist Zandra Chestnut . A visit to this show is also an opportunity to enjoy a place where nature is outdoors and indoors. “Mother Nature” is on display through October 4, 2025.

“The Last Drop” in exhibition by the WCADC was featured in the 2025 Fall 2025 Montgomery College Arts Catalog . The publication reaches nearly 10,000 households, plus libraries, art centers, community centers, MC locations, and more. It was also featured in the Montgomery Arts Association July 2025 Newsletter.
